Mrs. Rowe provides traveling tutoring services for Mamaroneck, Rye, Rye Neck and Harrison communities. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education from Drexel University and a Master’s Degree in Literacy from Fordham University. She holds three New York State Professional Certifications; Early Childhood, Childhood Education and Literacy Grades 1 – 6. She has almost ten years of teaching experience; five years as a preschool teacher for 4-5 year-olds and four years as an elementary school teacher grades 1 – 4. She was awarded tenure with the Rye City School District in the spring of 2013.
With creativity and organization, Mrs. Rowe brings enthusiasm to all that she does. She is well planned and prepared with a strong foundation and understanding of the balanced literacy approach. She has experience in helping struggling readers and writers as well as beginning school aged students working to master phonics, fluency and reading comprehension. Mrs. Rowe has a unique skill set and a friendly personality that will help your child to buckle down and make great academic strides.
(She also loves gel pens, bowling, making academic flip-books and teaching cursive.)
